I had the honour to create a mural at a recovery home run by the Chrysalis Society, a non-profit organization that provides assistance to women who are recuperating from the consequences of addiction, poverty, and domestic violence. The mural was painted in the garage, which was transformed into a wellness and exercise space for the residents.
The butterfly theme was chosen to symbolize transformation, growth, and change, with caterpillars representing the potential for change and the idea that growth is a process that requires patience and persistence. Butterflies, on the other hand, symbolize the beauty, grace, and freedom that come with transformation, and they represent the potential for renewal and new opportunities. Overall, the mural serves as a powerful reminder of the potential for transformation and growth, and the importance of hope and perseverance in the face of adversity.
The mural was completed within one day. Here’s a BTS reel.
